Well it may look the perfect dwelling for Vlad the impaler from the outside but the inside is more pleasant. The graveyard has few graves and they are pretty ancient so either people don’t die here or they bury them sea or maybe a graveyard hidden from outsiders but it’s worth a visit also you get the bonus of several Apache attack helicopters hovering over you so you pray they are not trigger happy , also several chinook choppers and a few loud bangs from the nearby tanks. What’s not to like with that lot.
St. Lawrence's Church, Hungerford is a beautifully imposing, grade II* listed building with fabulous stained glass windows and a well kept grave yard. The organ looked stunning with its beautifully painted pipes and the piano is in the west wing of the church for anyone who loves to play. Overall, definitely worth a visit.

We used to go to this restaurant a lot and our visit last weekend was the first for about a year. I'm not sure if it has changed hands, management or ownership but the food was excellent and the service good. It wasn't very busy (Friday night) but a nice atmosphere. I had the lobster fettuccine and my partner had the calves liver. Both portions were generous and delicious. Parking at the restaurant and they have an outside space for summer time (if we get one)!
Very friendly staff, really chilled out atmosphere and awesome food

Always good. Best place around this area for light food and drinks. Milkshakes and breakfasts are great. Prices very good
Good service great people cosy feeling. Just like you imagine “ye olde teashop”. When you have finished you can go and look at the barges on the Kennet and Avon Canal just over the other side of the bridge. And have a cheeky vape like I did!

Fantastic friendly pub hotel. The rooms are imaculate and stylish .Very well equipped with everything you could possible need. Was very quite during the night. Food is outstanding with fresh locally sourced produce. Cooked to perfection. Make sure you are hungry they certainly don't skimp on portion sizes. Excellent value for money. Staff were all lovely and welcoming and very efficient even though it was very busy. Nothing was too much trouble. Extensive wine list and any other drink you could think of. Dogs are well catered for too with ample fresh water and doggy biscuits on the bar. Locals and their dogs were very friendly. We were sad to leave. Breakfast outstanding with plenty of chioce . We will definitely be coming back. Best place we have stayed in a long time.
The food was of an decent quality although not outstanding enough to rush back. The staff were reasonably attentive but seemed a little rushed. it may just have been because it was a busy day for them, with the sun shining. but based on the above I would say quite average for the menu prices
