Local Restaurants & Places to Eat around Littlecote

Bella Vita Hungerford

16 Charnham St, Hungerford RG17 0ES, UK – 01488 681999

We used to go to this restaurant a lot and our visit last weekend was the first for about a year. I'm not sure if it has changed hands, management or ownership but the food was excellent and the service good. It wasn't very busy (Friday night) but a nice atmosphere. I had the lobster fettuccine and my partner had the calves liver. Both portions were generous and delicious. Parking at the restaurant and they have an outside space for summer time (if we get one)!

Friendly staff. Nice pizza. Good car park. Reasonable prices. Recommended.

The Tutti Pole

3 High St, Hungerford RG17 0DN, UK – 01488 682515

Ask for the soup of the day, freshly made and proper soup. Wonderful food on the whole, really enjoyed the dessert especially (peach melba). Staff are polite and very social, Rosie especially is a wonderful chatty staff member and we enjoyed having a natter. Definitely a must visit.

Amazingly friendly and excellent staff, and if you just want basic food, it's pretty good too. What let's it down is the decor, quality of the furnishings, and the general layout of the inside. There was also a really weird smell when we first walked in. In summary; if you want standard food, served well, without any of the niceties, then this place is good enough

John O'Gaunt Inn

Bridge St, Hungerford RG17 0EG, UK – 01488 683535

Staff very helpful and friendly. Good, traditional pub with good food.

A memorable meal. Faultless service from staff who knew what the we're talking about and made sensible and helpful recommendations. Hungerford is a lovely market town and, although this pub is on the main road it gives it the feeling of a Georgian coaching inn, so adds to the character rather than subtracting from it. The menu is imaginative and varied, with a good vegetarian choice (although we both chose meat dishes we view vegetarian options as a good indicator of the quality if the cuisine). Two very satisfied customers.
